One of the two fashion spreads in this issue was shot during my recent trip to Chicago. Besides temps in the teens, one night we were lucky enough to get snow! It's been a while since I've gotten to play in it! Of course, by the next morn- ing, the only option was to make slush angels. So, I really didn't mind heading back to Florida... :)
		A nice surprise recently was for me to learn I won not one, but two Create Awards, given out for graphic art excellence each year by Create Magazine, based out of Orlando. This international competition awarded me a GOLD for Editorial Magazine Photography - Cover, for my photo of model Glori Fahey shot for Lake & Sumter Style Magazine. I also received a SILVER for Editorial Magazine Photography for my dramatic dusk shot of nearby Eustis City Pool. also for LSS Mag. One of my regular features with LS Style Mag is the fun Parting Shot. I'm left on my own to spot some of the many visual oddities going on around me, photograph them, then add my (usually) whimsical interpretation of what I see. I'm pleased to annouce that these images, very different than my regular fashion and portrait work, will be available soon in an online gallery... Hey, if you're not reading my blog on photographyreview.com, well then, you're missing a lot of...stuff. Some recent ramblings: -Face Transplant Recipient Smiles - This simple act makes me smile... -My Sister's Slew of Awards - Leaves me in the dust. Most are from The Special Olympics... -Actual Conversation: Teenage Lifeguard - NOT the sharpest tool in the shed... -TANYA'S IN THE BATHTUB, AND SHE'S NAKED! - Ok, this one I haven't written yet. But if you watch Sell This House, you know the episode I mean. Now, as soon as I get that screenshot... ;)
