| My stint as a South Beach paparazzo ran roughly from 1991 to 1996. During those years, in addition to my normal gallery and commercial work, I provided nightclub/celebrity shots for several local newspapers and magazines as well as the occasional national publication. For a brief time, I was also "house photographer" for both Miami's Hard Rock Cafe and Planet Hollywood.
While I never found this work especially rewarding, I have to say it was an interesting period of my life. You could well call the early 90's the "Golden Age" of South Beach celebrities, with entertainment stars from all over the world showing up to play on the American Riviera on an almost nightly basis.
